This video by Cruise Director Juan Manuel Camargo, Channel 15's Manuel Villa, and Dive Guide Federico Pochet takes us aboard the MV Sea Hunter's latest research trip: UCR-UNA COCO-V involving a team of biologists, oceanographers, physicists, chemists, taxonomists, historians, meteorologists, microbiologists, economists from the University of Costa Rica, the National University of Costa Rica, The Research Center for Marine Sciences and Limnology (CIMAR), and The International Center for Economic Policy for Sustainable Development (CINPE).

The research trip focused on the interaction of ocean-atmosphere and the marine biodiversity of Cocos Island. The video shows the creation of underwater maps, the positioning of a new weather station on Cocos Island, the analysis and study of phytoplankton & zooplankton, as well as the documentation of new species.
