“The underwater life at Cocos is amazing!! We saw 6 different types of shark -- white tip, black tip, Galapagos, silky, hammerhead and tiger sharks. Besides that we saw marble, devil and eagle rays, frogfish and big school of fishes, lobsters, dolphins and much more. The best dive site was Dirty Rock. Very friendly and helpful staff, good food and a great place to be on the Argo!!” -- Michael T.
This expedition we enjoyed diving with a diverse group of divers from Switzerland, Germany, France, USA, Mexico and Costa Rica.

Dirty Rock was the hotspot this week for hammerheads!! At times we experienced constant hammerhead activity at the cleaning station, followed by huge schools out in the blue at the safety stops.

Colorful fish exploded out of the arch at Submerged Rock, as if posing for a photo op, and we had a thrilling tiger shark encounter in the blue at Big Dos Amigos.

There was little to no current at Punta Maria, and the sharks came in really close to us at the pinnacle. When we weren’t encountering hammerheads at Alcyone, we were losing ourselves in the immense school of jacks in crystal clear visibility!

To shake things up a bit, we set out to find some macro life at Manuelita. As luck would have it we found some frogfish, one of which was swimming freely in the water column -- it was truly an unforgettable sight!!
