This expedition was packed with surprising underwater encounters, with incredibly enthusiastic passengers to share them with!
Dropping into the water column, we enjoyed close encounters with dolphins, mobula rays, Galapagos & silky sharks. Some of them reached all the way down to the platform at 200m, where we had another surprise sighting of a rare mola mola (also known as a sunfish)!! The wall was full with crabs and Groupers of all kinds and we’ve even found on two occasions an aggregation of jellynose fish with more than 30 individuals.
The surface conditions were calm this week, with very mild currents and with great visibility that let some faint light reach all the way down to 300m/1000ft on every dive we had.
We look forward to having you aboard on a future trip to explore the depths of Cocos Island, Costa Rica!
