We had a great time ending 2021 and beginning 2022 in the deep waters of Cocos Island. The DeepSee team was accompanied with super enthusiastic passengers on our dives this expedition.
We had sightings of a hammerhead sharks, Galapagos sharks, a manta ray, several scorpionfish and a lot of reef fish all swirling on top of the Everest – which is our 100m/300ft dive. Mobula rays, big groupers, jellonose fish, scorpionfish, frogfish, crabs and moray eels kept us in awe as we passed by in our deeper divesite, the Wall, which goes to 300m/1000ft.
Throughout 2021, the DeepSee has accumulated 172 dives to her dive log with +/- 300 new passengers joining our elite deep water explorer family! We can only hope that 2022 will bring us more new experiences, new species to discover, new underwater encounters and more passengers to enjoy this unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience.
